Marudhara Chapter of IAPSM Society

Indian Association of Preventive and Social medicine-Rajasthan

Rajasthan chapter of IAPSM conference was organized intermittently from last many years but there was no governing body for this Rajasthan chapter. These conferences were organized by organizing committee of conference which was organized at the time of conference and used to dissolve after the conference. First time on XI conference of Rajasthan chapter of IAPSM held at Mahatma Gandhi Medical Science and Research Centre, Jaipur along with organizing committee of conference an executive committee was constructed for Rajasthan chapter of IAPSM and approved by National Body of IAPSM present at that conference. With tireless effort of executive committee a society entitled “MARUDHARA CHAPTER OF IAPSM SOCIETY” was registered under the Rajasthan Society Act 1958 (RAJASTHAN ACT NO. 28, 1958 ) on date 06.04.24 at registration number COOP/2023/JODHPUR/203975 having following Executive Committee at the time of Registration:-

Objectives:

Following are the objectives of this society:-
  1. To improve the standard of teaching of Preventive and Social Medicine (PSM) subject at all levels in state of Rajasthan.
  2. To promote research in Preventive and Social Medicine with the effective application of knowledge.
  3. To develop cooperation in teaching, training, research and services between PSM and other concer subjects in medical college.
  4. To facilitate co-ordination between PSM and other health related departments .
  5. To promote welfare of teachers of PSM in state of Rajasthan.
  6. To publish text books, journals, prepare literature, module etc on various areas in the field of Community medicine and Public Health.
  7. To carry out academic activities like CMEs, workshops, seminars, courses etc. in various areas in the field of Community medicine and Public Health.
  8. To promote research projects in the field of Community medicine and Public Health.
